Carnifex Update

Carnifex Update

Hay Tyranid fans. Just a quick update on my dead Carnifex that i painted last week. i really needed to update this becuase as i was just admireing my work and thinking how i was going to do the tyranid gunts diffrently i reolised that the main reason i didn't contrast canripice with what people people call flesh (the less shelly parts of the beast) is beause i wanted the whole create to blend like all it's exteria (bar it's mouth) was an exoskeleton. so yeah that little white skull bit had to go and i replaced it like i added the battle wounds. this does kind of ruin the narrative for it. however i thought the wound looked like a foot print so that could be the last step the sergent took off the carnifex and i gave that step a crushing stamp to ensure the beast was dead.

but yeah, i wanted the insides to look like a sort of gooying mess of stuff. like you would kind of expect something that's bone structure is on the extria of it's body. like the organ organisation of our stomach which only bone is obviously the spine and the pelvis upon which it all is stacked.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that i've got a solid idea for how i want to paint my genestealers (which have been given alot of credit in the 5th edition). I'm going to go for a army ant scheme having the body and head in a stone cream washing into brown with black tips and limbs. the limbs will be painted in the same black, brown blended ends and red high lights just like that rest of my army.

RETURN, DESTROY, CONSUME!
